In addition to the choco-dipped strawberries, I also made some chicken salad bites for the birthday hors d’oeuvre spread.
Mix these ingredients together for the salad (it’s a crowd-pleaser and even better the next day):
4 cooked & diced boneless chicken breasts
1/3 cup dried cherries
1/2 cup diced celery
1/3 cup chopped and toasted pecans
2/3 cup diced apples
1/8 cup diced shallots
chopped chives
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoon buttermilk*
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
